Job Description:
The Resource Center Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Resource Center and assists in the training and supervision of the Resource Center staff and volunteers. The Coordinator identifies, develops and updates patient education materials in the Resource Center in cooperation with the Patient Education Department; counsels and educates patients and family members on cancer information and support by providing access to reliable resources. The Coordinator assists the Patient Education Department with the development and implementation of institute-wide educational and quality of life programs which may include patient outreach and support, basic cancer information training for new staff and volunteers and new patient orientation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a health related field and the equivalent of two years of full time experience in a community education related field or an Associate’s degree in a health related field and the equivalent of four years of full time experience. The preferred candidate will have a Master’s degree in Library Science with concentration in consumer health or medical libraries.
Salary & Benefits:
$39,713 annually. Includes a comprehensive benefits package.
